Experienced Hart to join Jones in the dugout

We are excited to officially announce that Paul Hart has joined Luton Town as Assistant Manager.

Hart watched on from the stand at Northampton on Saturday and joined the side at Kenilworth Road as they undertook a light training session this morning. He joins the Hatters having left the position of Academy Director and U21s Manager at Leeds United recently. The 62 year old who hails from Golborne in Lancashire brings 45 years of football experience with him to Luton. Hart made 567 appearances as a player and has spent the last 28 years of his career in a variety of management positions. These include spells with Chesterfield, Nottingham Forest, Barnsley, Rushden & Diamonds, Crystal Palace, QPR, Portsmouth, Swindon Town and Notts County.

Speaking earlier about joining the Hatters management team Hart said "It feels great to be here. I've been looking forward to this and I feel very lucky. I've had 45 Years in football and to come to a prestigious club like Luton, especially in this position as assistant manager is great, I'm very lucky."

Asked about what attracted him to the position at Luton Hart said "Obviously I knew Nathan from our time at Charlton Athletic, and I knew Mick Harford. I spoke to Gary Sweet about the organisation above the Football, and I was very impressed. It feels great to come to a place that has a pathway to future success.

My priority over the summer will be to make sure that our pre-season is bang-on and we get exactly what we can from that and that we're flying when we come back.

The size of the support at Luton is incredible and we're looking to give the supporters quality, winning football."
