Solid performance earns deserved win
Maidenhead 0
Town 1
Cullen 22
A first half strike from the impressive Cullen seals the Towns second victory of pre season.
Town dominated the first half creating a string of chances. The breakthrough came when Howells through ball was neatly nodded down by Cullen who coolly finished the ball inside the far post.
The Hatters could have finished the game with three or four if it hadn’t been for some fine goalkeeping, a host of missed chances and the linesman’s flag disallowing Cullen his second of the game.
Justham in goal had a fine game showing why he was brought into the side with a great save from a close range Mendes overhead kick.
The second half saw Maidenhead come back into the game but couldn’t produce enough to break through the solid Town defence.
A good performance from Town showing some very positive signs.
