Hatters chief not expecting much activity on deadline day

Town boss Nathan Jones says it is likely to be a quiet deadline day at Kenilworth Road.

The Hatters boss has brought in Alan Sheehan and Joe Pigott on loan, while Luke Guttridge and Luke Wilkinson have left to join Dagenham and Stevenage respectively on permanent deals.

“We’ve done a little bit of business which we’re pleased about, we earmarked targets which we were able to do reasonably early,” said Jones at his Monday press call.

“If something does come up then we might be interested, but if I’m honest, we know the type of player we want to bring in and we may do that through the loan market.

“So at the minute, I don’t envisage there being lots and lots of activity today.

“There maybe one or two moving on, but we’re not in massive rush to get players in or out.

“We know the ones we want to bring in, we’re still evaluating parts of our squad anyway.

“So there maybe the odd loan going out, but that might be done after today anyway.”
