The Hatters have mutually terminated the contract of midfielder Arnaud Mendy with immediate effect.
The Frenchman joined the Town from Macclesfield last season and played 27 times for the Hatters last season, including the FA Cup victories over Wolves and Norwich.
This season he made just one appearance, in the 0-0 FA Trophy draw away to Staines Town last month.
