Young Spurs star signs on loan for the rest of the season

The Hatters have completed the signing of Tottenham Hotspur’s England Under-18 international forward Nathan Oduwa on a youth loan for the rest of the season.

Nathan, 18, who is capable of playing on the left flank or down the middle, joined Spurs in July 2012 and made six appearances for their Under-18s in 2012/13, scoring in his first three matches.

The powerful attacker scored 10 goals for the Tottenham youth team last term, missing just four of Spurs’ 24 matches. He also made three appearances for the London club’s under-21 side.

This season Oduwa has scored twice and set-up four further goals in 14 matches for the Tottenham Under-21s, including a strike against Manchester United in the Under-21 Premier League.

Town boss John Still told lutontown.co.uk: “Nathan is very highly thought of at Tottenham and we are thrilled to have him on board for the rest of the season.

“Nathan is strong, powerful, skilful and has pace to burn. He’s the kind of player who gets supporters off their seats.”
