Luton Town Football Club have been informed by Bedfordshire Police of the potential for an English Defence League march through Luton on the date of our proposed Sky Bet League 2 fixture against Mansfield Town on Saturday 29th November at Kenilworth Road.

Following extensive discussions with the Bedfordshire Police and also with the Football League and Mansfield Town it is very likely that if the EDL march is confirmed for that date then our fixture will need to be postponed to allow the Bedfordshire Police to apply their resources to one event rather than two taking place simultaneously.

Luton Town would very much like the fixture to go ahead on the scheduled date as we all look forward to our Saturday afternoon 3pm kick-offs, but fully understand the operational issues facing Bedfordshire Police in such circumstances.

Alternative dates for the fixture, in the event of such postponement, have been considered but nothing as yet has been agreed but a final decision surrounding this fixture will be made by the end of this month. We promise to keep you fully informed of the situation.
