Youth team defender starts the road to recovery
Youth team defender Luke Trotman is due to leave hospital today [Monday] after breaking his leg into places in the Town Under-18s’ Youth Alliance fixture with Peterborough on Saturday morning.
The match was abandoned as a result of the incident, but the popular right-back, who made his first team debut in an FA Trophy third round tie last season, has since had a successful operation at Peterborough General Hospital.
And such was the fantastic help that Luke received on the day, Luton Town would like to place on record their sincere thanks to Peterborough United and the staff at the hospital for their supportive actions both on and off the pitch in the wake of Luke's injury. It was hugely appreciated by Luke, his family and by all at Kenilworth Road.
Trotman’s team-mates, as well as members of the Town first team, took to Twitter to offer him messages of support, whilst first team boss John Still also paid tribute to the youngster, as this video, below, shows.
Everyone at Luton Town would like to wish Luke the very best of wishes towards a speedy recovery and return to action. If you would like to send Luke your messages of support, you can tweet him at @LukeTroyTrotman.
