Weekend round-up of Town players out on loan
Defender Danny Fitzsimons played another 90 minutes as he helped Bishop’s Stortford to a 1-0 win at Havant & Waterlooville in the Conference South on Saturday.
Winger Dave Martin was also on the winning side as Bristol Rovers ended FC Halifax’s perfect start to the season with a 2-1 win in the Conference National.
Meanwhile young professionals Lee Angol, Zane Banton, Charlie Smith and Brett Longden were all in action over the weekend.
Striker Angol came close to scoring during Boreham Wood’s 2-1 home defeat to Bath in Conference South, whilst Banton came on as a substitute in Biggleswade Town’s 1-0 loss at Poole.
Smith was involved in Hitchin’s 0-0 draw against Cirencester in the Southern Premier and Longden helped Maidenhead keep a clean sheet in their goalless draw with Conference South leaders Eastbourne Borough.
