Two-year extension for young defender
The Hatters are pleased to announce that defender Alex Lacey has signed a new two-year contract with the club. The 20-year-old has made 19 appearances this season, and scored his first senior goal in the 4-0 win at Woking back in September.
Lacey made his first Town appearance in a 0-0 draw against Welling United in the FA Trophy back in December 2010 and has since enjoyed loan spells at Thurrock, Cambridge City and Eastleigh.
In total the young centre-half has made 28 appearances in Luton colours.
Town manager John Still told lutontown.co.uk: "Alex had a fantastic first half of the season and it was unfortunate that an injury meant we had to make changes and bring in Fraser Franks.
"We're delighted to have Alex back fit again because I rate him very highly. He's got a big future and I'm looking forward to seeing him improve and progress - hopefully in a higher league."
