New deal extends striker's stay until at least June 2017

We are pleased to announce that Jack Marriott has signed a new contract with the Luton Town, which extends his current contract until the end of June 2017. Marriott’s initial contract was due to expire at the end of this season.

The 20-year-old striker has impressed since arriving at Kenilworth Road in May, making the score sheet in pre-season as well as scoring an impressive brace against Bristol City in the first round of the Capital One Cup.

His new contract also includes triggers that could see the contract extended for a total of a further two years until 30th June 2019.

When asked about his extended contract, Marriott said: “It feels really great to get the extra year, so there’s more security now so I can really push on and concentrate on my football more than anything.

“Like I said when I first came to the Club, I pride myself on my goal-scoring and my all round game is getting better and better every week so hopefully I’ll get more chances, more time to play and hopefully continue with some more goals. I’m just hoping to get in the team when I can and do well for the team.”
