Additional Boreham Wood Fixture Announced
With the unfortunate cancellation of two of our pre-season games interrupting our preparation, Boreham Wood have kindly agreed to host a strong Town squad on Tuesday 29th July to be played simultaneously with our home tie against Colchester.
This fixture will allow John Still the opportunity to provide his squad with the game minutes that would be missed due to the cancellations.
This means that the Town squad will be split into two tomorrow evening with the likes of Connolly, Franks, Wilkinson, Lawless, Wall, Cullen, Robinson and Guttridge all to be involved in our home clash with Colchester. Whilst the likes of Williams, McNulty, Whalley, Howells, Rooney, Drury and Benson will make the trip to Boreham Wood.
The reason for including this fixture into our pre-season schedule is because it is vital that our entire squad is 100% match fit and integrated into our team fully before the start of the new season.
We understand that this is not an ideal situation for Town supporters and would like to apologise for the inconvenience caused to you but thank you for your understanding.
John Still would also like to thank Danny Hunter and his coaching staff for allowing us this opportunity as it will be an additional fixture for Boreham Wood.
