BACK LEE FOR A BRACE AGAINST HARTLEPOOL

Back fully fit striker to keep his cool in front of goal

After the goalless draw at Dagenham on Tuesday the Town have been pushed out to 18/1 to win promotion from League 2 with league sponsors Sky Bet.

The Hatters still have more than a squeak of reaching the top seven with three games of the campaign still to play – and those odds could tumble should John Still’s side pick-up maximum points against Hartlepool this weekend and other results go their way.

Sky Bet go 5/6 that the Town can get back to winning ways on home soil after four successive defeats when Ronnie Moore’s are the visitors on Saturday.

Pools are in a three-way battle to avoid two of the relegation places and currently sit one point and one place above the jaws of the dropzone to the Conference. Pools are 18/5 to leave Kenilworth Road with three points and are 5/6 to survive relegation.

With both sides in dire need of the points expect plenty of nerves and helter-skelter action in both penalty areas on Saturday. One man who is cool in front of goal, however, is the Town’s on-loan West Ham striker Elliot Lee, who is 9/2 to score first and 7/1 to score twice against a Hartlepool side who have the joint-worst away record in League 2.

The young forward scored twice in the Town’s 3-2 defeat at home to Wycombe and came close in his last appearance on home turf in the 1-0 defeat to league leaders Burton. With the stakes high on the pitch it’s best to side with the Hatters man, especially after topping up his fitness with 90 minutes against Dagenham.

Recommendations:

Elliot Lee first goalscorer 9/2
Elliot Lee to score twice 7/1
