Absent Hylton wins four awards at POTY presentation

The Luton Town Supporters’ Trust’s Player of the Season presentation evening took place last night at Venue 360 – with Danny Hylton winning four awards!

The Hatters’ 26-goal top scorer couldn’t be there to collect his trophies as he was attending the PFA awards in London, having been named in the League Two Team of the Season.

But to highlight what a fine campaign the 28-year-old has had since joining from Oxford United last summer, Hylton’s name was etched on awards for the Junior Supporters’, Internet, Players’ and overall LTST Player of the Season accolades.

Other winners from Nathan Jones’ squad on the night were:

Goal of the season: Stephen O'Donnell v Yeovil

Ian Pearce Memorial Trophy (for most Man of the Match awards, from the Luton News for impartiality, in home matches): Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu (for the second year running)

Bobbers Travel Club Away Player of the Season: Scott Cuthbert

Young Player of the Season: James Justin (chosen by Nathan Jones and his management team)

The LTST also give an award for Outstanding Contribution, and that went to former Trust secretary Steve Townsend, while supporters' charity of the season, Autism Bedfordshire, collected a cheque for £825 raised by raffles during LTST events including Evenings with Mick Harford and Nathan, plus a quiz night.

Well done to all the Town players for wonderful contributions to a fine season…that can get even better before May is out.

As the background music on the night told Nathan and his team, they “could be heroes”!

COYH!

*Video interviews will be available on the LTST website soon!
