Hot-shot Vass excited at prospect of play-off success
Hatters striker Isaac Vassell can’t wait for tonight’s semi-final second leg against Blackpool to kick-off – so he can look to add to his increasingly impressive goal tally for his first season at Kenilworth Road.
The 23-year-old has netted 14 times since opening his account at Morecambe on 19th November, including one in the first leg at Bloomfield Road on Sunday.
Speaking to the media ahead of the return yesterday, Vassell – who has registered in each of his last three matches – said: “It’s not so much nerves, I’m just excited to get back out there and do what I can do again.
“The place is going to be rocking and if we can get that first goal, I think the crowd will really get on our side and give us that boost that we need to go on and win the game.
“If I can get one I’ll be buzzing, but I’m just going to do my best to get some goals and show what I can do.”
