Expect to see some familiar faces at Sharpenhoe Road this evening
A host of Hatters first team players have been included in the squad for our match against Barton Rovers in the Bedfordshire FA Premier Cup final this evening.
The likes of Josh McQuoid, Isaac Vassell, Jake Gray and Alex Gilliead are expected to make an appearance in what will be a repeat of last season’s fixture against the Rovers.
Alongside those first teamers, a number of players who played in Town’s win over Gillingham in the Checkatrade Trophy will start.
Manager of the Development Squad, Andy Awford thinks it will be a good chance for the younger players to get some minutes playing alongside members of the first team.
He said: “Nathan Jones is using the match as an opportunity to give minutes to some of the first team who need them.
“It will give members of the development team a great opportunity to play alongside first team players, which will be great for their progress going forward.”
In last season’s match, Town came out on top 6-1, with Jack Marriott netting four on the night.
Tonight’s match at Sharpenhoe Road will kick-off at 7:45pm.
